Study on Wellness?
We are conducting an anonymous survey study to see the impact of non recreational experience with various psychedelic medicines for wellness including impacts on mood, function and quality of life. Please do not complete if you are an active serving military member to avoid any conflict.
We would like you to consider participating.
Study Purpose
The data on the use of psychedelic medicines for therapy is still new. By understanding your experience we can better understand why you used it, how much it helped and where it impacted your wellbeing.
The medications of interest include

Psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
-
3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy)
-
N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (Ayahuasca)
-
Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)
-
Ketamine (Vitamin K)
Description of Procedures
-
Through questionnaires we will collect data on your pain, mood, function and the impact of the psychedelic medications.

This data will also include some limited information about your medical history, your occupation, and medication side effects

After the study is complete, we will analyze how much these medications helped
Risks and Inconvenience

Study participation could take up to 1 hour
Considerations

We understand these medications are currently considered illegal

Therefore participation in this study is anonymous and therefore you cannot be identified in any way

There will be no impact any aspect of your medical care and you can reach out the researchers with any questions

Participation is voluntary, may end your participation at any time, and you may skip any questions you prefer not to answer.

Our Study
Study Question

Study Procedure
What is this study about?
We are conducting an anonymous survey study to see the impact of non recreational experience with various psychedelic medicines for wellness including impacts on mood, function and quality of life. Please do not complete if you are an active serving military member to avoid any conflict
Who may join the study?
Participants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered eligible for admission to the study.
1. Between the ages of 18 - 99
2. Self-report of past psychedelic medicine use for therapeutic purposes in the past
3. While a consent letter will be provided, patients will only be asked to agree to the terms without providing their names (i.e., unsigned consent procedures) given the potential legal ramifications of identification
4. Civilian or military veterans.
Exclusion on Criteria/Considerations
1. Past psychedelic medicine use for non- therapeutic purposes
2. Only the most recent experience will be commented on
3. Active Military Members
4. Given the retrospective nature of the trial no other exclusion criteria outside not meeting the inclusion criteria are necessary.
5. In general patient participation will be anonymous given that access to medication may not have been considered legal. However in cases where there are concerns about a serious health issues and the patient can be identified, they will be to ensure appropriate follow up can be arranged.
